During the spring of 2011 the Eades family, minus my sister Shelby, flew to the Bahamas for a week of fun in the sun. We stayed in Nassau the first few days of our trip, and then experienced the world-renowned resort Atlantis our final few days. I'm not sure what camera we used during our trip, but you can tell it wasn't very good based on the quality of the pictures below. Regardless, you can still make out the fear in my eyes after having swam with the sharks.

Nassau
We spent most of our time exploring the local markets and relaxing on the beach. The Atlantis resort had endless waterslides and lazy rivers, and my brother and I made it our mission to try them all. As exhilarating as the waterslides were, I'm definitely more of a lazy river kind of guy.
During our snorkeling expedition, the guides offered us the chance to swim with nurse sharks. I stupidly accepted the challenge, and jumped into the water with a guide. Instructing us to hold a rope tied to the back of the boat as we floated in the water, we kept perfectly still as several sharks slowly swam around us. Once we climbed back onto the boat, the crew threw chum in the water to give us a final show of the feasting sharks.
The water was so clear and the weather was perfect for us throughout our time there. It was a great trip with my family, and we got to experience a beautiful country with so much to do. I'd love to go back one day, and I'll be sure to bring more sunscreen next time.
