In 2017 I worked with OXID Products on the release of their new wireless AudioBuds Headphones. OXID was started by Nick Rust, a talented entrepreneur and friend of mine who I had the pleasure of working with. I initially did the manual, product layouts, and graphic design, and eventually helped build their website. I've included the manual and some of the product shots I worked with, as well as advertisements for the AudioBuds. See where it all gets put together here.
2018
Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign
I was given a rough draft of the manual that had been created by a team overseas, but needed a lot of recreation and layout design. Luckily I had the power of Adobe on my side, and Illustrator and Photoshop had everything I needed to get it all back into shape.
Nick had an excellent photographer who provided me with incredible product photos. High quality pictures on a website can make a huge difference. They really showcase how stylish the headphones are.
The product advertisements came together great and display the specs of the AudioBuds.
The manual was by far the most challenging part, and by challenging I mean tedious. It was translated (poorly) from Mandarin, so much of my time was spent checking for grammar and ensuring the explanations were clear and logically correct.
This was a challenging project for me because I had never done a physical product launch before. It really helped me improve some of my technical graphic design skills, and sharpened my eye for spotting imperfections. I’m thrilled to say the AudioBuds had a successful launch and Nick did a great job rolling them out.
